Reading public pages needs no account. We set no cookies for it, run no advertising, and do not use browser storage to follow you.

To count visits to public pages we use Web Analytics from our hosting and network provider. It sets no cookies, uses no browser storage and does not fingerprint your browser. It records the address of the page (without anything after a question mark, so nothing you typed or any link code), the site that sent you, your country, browser type and how fast the page loaded, and shows us only totals. It does not run on signed-in pages.

If you create an account, we keep your email address, the name you give (if any), the organisations you belong to and your role in each, and the equipment you choose to watch. Signing in sets two cookies that keep you signed in (one holds your session, the other a short-lived copy so pages load faster); we record when each sign-in session started and the browser type, so you can see and end your sessions. We do not store your IP address with your account.

A sign-in link when you ask for one, one welcome email when your account is created, team invitations someone sends you, and alerts only when equipment you watch has an issue. No newsletters or marketing. Every alert has a one-click unsubscribe. If an address bounces or reports our email as spam, we stop emailing it; we keep only a scrambled (hashed) form of that address to remember this.

The sign-in form uses a bot check from our hosting and network provider, which looks at your browser to tell people from automated traffic. It does not set tracking cookies.

Like every website, pages are delivered through a hosting and network provider, which handles your IP address and browser details to deliver the page and protect the site from attacks. We do not keep request logs.

Deleting an organisation deletes its equipment, sites and alerts. To delete your account or get a copy of your data, write to privacy@devicery.com.
